[unknown]

Had an awesome day yesterday. I decided to drive down and see Joanne and Robert. I wanted to go to Office Depot as they had a Seagate 500gig hard drive for $99US. I was pretty pleased about that as they are $229 and $249 at various places. I then took off to the scrapbook store, Treasury of Memories. I love that store, they have everything. I am working on a little album for Kandace that I am doing of Charlotte. I wanted to pick up a couple of things so I could complete it. I used Tammykat’s Business Card-Size Album Freebie from her blog. I am almost finished the album and I am pleased with how it is turning out.

After all the shopping, I hooked up with Joanne and Robert and went and saw their new house. They purchased it back a few months ago and they are doing all the finishing stuff. It is looking great and they are going to be moving in there in a few weeks. Isak will get a chance to stay with them for a week at the house.

Today my friend Jo and I went to New Brighton Pool in Vancouver. It was a great day, not too hot and there was a nice breeze. We had a good time, caught some rays and caught up on conversation. We haven’t seen each other in a few months. Was nice. Maybe on my next day off we can go again if the weather is nice.

Posting a few photos from my stash

Sunkissed Layouts

I did two layouts using the Sunkissed kit. I love the orange and tans in this kit.

In the above layout I used Wordart from Leiko Beck’s Summer Freebie.

Ahhh the Weekend

It has been a crazy week this week. It was our busy week at work and on Thursday we worked a few hours of overtime to fix a problem that happened in one of the communities that we service. Friday, my supervisor and I, drove up to Squamish to work out of the Government Agent’s Office. We worked side by side with the 3 gals that work in the office and all in all it was a good day.

I have been feeling so tired and have been going to bed early all week. It has been a bit overcast and I think that has something to do with the tiredness. I was going to head out to the Seawall today to take photos but it isn’t that nice out today, another overcast day.

Misty and Krystal’s new kit Sunkissed at Sweet Shoppe Designs is out today so I can post a few more of the pages that I made for Isak’s bragbook. Now who could not love that cute face!!

[Monday Thoughts]

I thought I should maybe do more with this blog than just post my layouts. Not like anyone reads it but one never knows when someone might stop by.

More than halfway through the month of July. It is so funny how time flies when you don’t really want it to. The weather here has been absolutely fabulous. Yesterday I went for a walk on the Seawall in West Vancouver, had my Ipod, water bottle and a copy of the new Digital Scrapbooking Magazine. I walked from Ambleside to Dundarave and spent an hour sitting in the sun and reading my magazine. The Seawall wasn’t too crowded for a Sunday afternoon and it was a pleasant walk. No I didn’t take my camera and I always kick myself for not having it with me. There was some new blooms too that I would have loved to have gotten some photos of, which just means I have to go back this week and take some photos.

Isak has been away for 2 weeks, I so have to do something different next summer. I have been so used to sending him to my Dad’s but I know it is hard on Dad and Marg as well as being hard on Isak to leave his friends for most of the summer. He is going to come back on the 2nd of August, have a week with me and then head off to Joanne’s for the week of August 11. I am on vacation starting August 18th through to September 5th. My day off happens to fall on the 8th so an extra day I wasn’t counting on……woot! Although, I am sure Isak will have me running around with activities and first week of school stuff going on.

I am working on a 4 x 6 brag book of photos of Isak taken over the past couple of months. I have gotten some good pics of him. My camera is awesome!! I will post the pages when I am finished them. I have used all Misty Cato’s products which can be found at Sweet Shoppe Designs and I am loving how the pages are turning out. I am not doing alot of journaling but letting the photos stand out on their own. My boy is sooooooo cute if I do say so myself. LOL. A few of the pages are using her kit that isn’t out yet – a beautiful collab with another SSD called Sunkissed, so I can’t post those pages yet but there are others that I can. I used brag book templates from Melissa Mackinnon called Brag About Me which I have had for a long time.

Here are a couple of the pages:

Sharing

Isak and Rowyn sharing one of the many moments they share. Sometimes I truly believe they are siblings. I hope their friendship lasts forever. Apr 08
